Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher
The last post on The Fan Girl Space was on a book about a recent high school graduate who goes on a road trip with his best friend. This book is about…uh, sadder things. Which brings me to a note of caution: bad stuff happens in this book, so if you don’t want to read about bullying, sexual assault, etc, consider this a trigger warning for this post and the comments.
Okay. This is the part where I ask questions, but I’m still just a tad emotionally distraught. Just a tad.
So lets keep this brief. What did you think? Which of the tape-recipients did you hate most? (You can’t choose the rape-y guy.)
The movie adaption of Thirteen Reasons Why is coming out soon- what do you expect from it? Are you going to go see it? More generally, how much do you expect movie adaptations of books to hold up to the original story/feel?
(Feel free to just talk about anything else, including how much you loved the book. Or, in this case, how mad you are that your friend recommended this to you. As with all posts on this site, I’ll be replying to anyone who wants to talk!)
